💬 FAQ

Questions, answered

Is Gold Stars free?

Gold Stars is free to use during our beta. As we grow we'll add affordable family plans, and we're building sponsored access so organisations can cover the cost for families who need it. See Pricing.

What ages is it for?

It's designed to flex with a child — from younger children using a simpler mode, to older children tracking goals and school progress. You choose what fits your family.

Do my children need their own accounts or email?

No. A parent or guardian holds the account. Children have their own friendly profile inside it — they don't sign up, and we don't collect photos of them, their email, contact details or location beyond what a feature needs.

Is my family's data private and safe?

Privacy is central to how Gold Stars is built: each family's data is isolated, sensitive information is private by default, and access is explicit and revocable. Read our approach to privacy & safety.

How does it work for separated or co-parenting families?

Each parent, carer or grandparent can have their own secure login, limited to specific children, with custody and time-with-parent on a shared calendar. See Co-parenting.

What devices does it work on?

Gold Stars runs in a web browser, so it works on phones, tablets and computers — no app store needed.

Can grandparents or carers be included?

Yes. You can invite trusted adults with exactly the level of access you choose, from full involvement to a simple view-only window — and you can change or remove it anytime.

Is Gold Stars a medical or therapy tool?

No. It's a family wellbeing and organisation tool. The mood check-in helps children share how they feel; it isn't a diagnosis. If you're worried about your child, please speak to a qualified professional.
